How did it start ?

Meeting in France

Six students (Klaudia Boksa, Edyta Broniszewska, Paulina Moas, Krzysztof Kulik, Patryk Winiewski, Piotr Zaporowski) together with their teachers Ms. Monika Rutkowska and M. Helis-Gob went to Strasbourg, France for the second project meeting (10.12.2012 -14.12.2012). We have met not only our French hosts but also colleagues from Italian and Spanish schools. We had a chance to be part of huge explosion of cultural and traditional diversity. Nevertheless low temperatures, we were welcomed warmly. We couldnt say there was no entertainment, because every day was full of different activities. We visited the school, were we could see how French students work in their workshops, prepared the choreography. We also went on a trip to the mountains and to European Parliament. We could see how the work of Eurodeputees.

Meeting in Poland: part 2

On 21 - 25 October 2013, the Secondary School hosted a meeting of the Comenius project partners "Students got Talent". This project, implemented from September 2012, brings together students from our school who are artistically talented and want to show off their passions and interests. Our guests were students and teachers from partner schools from Strasbourg (France), Cartagena (Spain) and Barletta (Italy), a total of 29 foreigners.

A rich program of stay of our guests, rich in artistic workshops (acting, singing, dance and photography), sightseeing tours (Crakcow, Wieliczka, Auschwitz), as well as visiting the Museum of Photography in Cracow, do not let you get bored and give the opportunity to get acquainted with Polish culture and history. During the stay of our guests was also a International Short Film Festival, showing the passion and talents of students from various parts of Europe. We had the opportunity to also visit the Dbrowa Grnicza's city hall. Adding to this typical Polish hospitality, delicious food, beautiful golden Polish autumn and a fantastic atmosphere during all meetings (including those unofficial) we have the recipe for an unforgettable event. Joint exercise, along with teachers, folk dances from different countries, singing country-specific songs, interesting conversations in English, will remain long in our memories.

Comenius part 3 :
Project's partners' meeting in Italy

On 10-15th February 2014, within the Comenius project's "Student got talent", five students of our school, together with the teachers, Mrs A.Grzesiczak and Mrs M.Helis-Gob, took part in the partners' meeting in Barletta, Italy. While staying for five days with the Italian families, our students had a great opportunity to get familiar with the Italian culture and typical habits. Thanks to outstanding hospitality, the whole staying there took place in a friendly atmosphere, appreciated by all the projetc's participants. The exceptionally sunny weather made everyone smiling and relaxed. Not only did we spend most of the time in Barletta, admiring this charming old town, but also some trips were organised for us. We visited Trani and Bitonto (nearby old towns) and Castel del Monte. We took part in many activities at school, which had been prepared by our hosts, such as dramas, dances, fashion shows, etc. Afternoon meetings helped us to develop our language skills and make new friends.

Comenius part 4 :
Spain !

On 10 -17 th May 2014 eight students from our school, together with three teachers, took part in Comenius project "Students got talent" partners' meeting in Cartagena in Spain. This project has been realised since September 2012 and its aim is to develop passions and hobbies of students of our school who are artistically talented. It has been realised with schools from Strasbourg (France), Cartagena (Spain) and Barletta (Italy).Our weekly staying in Cartagena was rich in many interesting activities: we took part in the dancing lesson learning salsa and merengue, circus workshop, practical workshop of sound mixing and mastering. A great talent show has also been organised, during which students presented their vocal, dancing and acrobatic skills. A visit to the rope park and the water sports day on the sunny beach will be also warmly remembered. While our staying in Cartagena our hosts also tried to show us the touristic attractions of Cartagena, full of impressive monuments and breathtaking seaside views. Spanish hospitality, open-minded and kind people, friendly atmosphere, made it difficult to say goodbye to our partners. Certainly the time spent together with our new friends will stay in our memory for a long time. We will cultivate our friendship and we do hope to meet and cooperate with our foreign partners during further projects and students' exchanges.

What do you think about Comenius ?

Comenius was one of the best experiences of my life because thanks to it i was able to meet awesome people and visit amazing places !
