In the vicinity of La Unión you can find nature
protection areas as Calblanque Natural Park…
...or Cenizas hill.
Moreover, there are places of great tourist
interest like La Manga del Mar Menor.

POWER STATION
• Escombreras Thermal Power Station is an
electricity-generation plant located in the
Escombreras Valley, in the local district of
Cartagena next to La Unión.
•The station is a
combined cycle
power plant.
•The plant uses
natural gas.
•With gross
power of 830 Mw.

located next to our School.
• It has 8 units.
• The plant has a power of 5280 Kw
• Each unit has a power of 660Kw

• In the vicinity of the school you can find
wind generators, whose energy we use in
ous classrooms.

• On the roof of our
gymnasium you
can find solar
panels and we
take advantage of
them.
SOLAR ENERGY
• In our school there are
fountains of water
around the schoolyard.
• Problem: We detected
we were wasting water
because the tap didn´t
work .
• Solution: Change the
kind of tap with dosage
measure.
SAVING WATER
• In our classrooms there are three rows of
fluorescent tubes.
• Problem: we waste too much energy.
• Solution: We eliminated one row to take
advantage of the sunlight and to save
energy.
