HOT SPRINGS HIKE | Approx. 1.5 hours | FREE | All ages Come and find out all there is to know about the local hot springs. We’ll talk about the historic baths, the original springs, the pools, … Meeting spot: the historic barn by the Mountainside Club House (not the Mountainside Resort). SPIRIT TRAIL | Approx. 2.25 hours | FREE | All ages The Spirit Trail wanders along the eastern benches of Columbia Lake through grasslands and open canopy forest. At roughly 3.6km there is an inlet (Armstrong Bay) and ancient pictographs which make for an interesting and logical turn-around spot. This is not a guided hike. Although unguided, Rec Department staff meets with you to provide detailed directions, a map, and to organize the group of hikers (car pooling encouraged). Meet outside the Riverside Recreation Centre. The trail head is 6km from Fairmont on a gravel road. The well worn trail has very little elevation change and excellent footing. TUKATS HIKE | Approx. 1.5 hours | FREE | All ages Explore the trails at the north end of Fairmont. Meet at 5014 Fairway Drive (the church parking lot on the way to the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort.) Rating: moderate. UNGUIDED HOODOO HIKE | Approx. 1.5 hours | FREE | All ages Discover the Hoodoos! Moderate elevation change. Meeting spot: the Nature Trust Hoodoos trail head. Drive south on highway 93/95 to Westside Road, turn right for 1km, and park in the large gravel parking lot on the left across from the Hoodoos sign. No sign-up required. This is not a guided hike.

Friend Finder Message Board

There is a message board in the Games Room to facilitate guests meeting other guests with similar interests. Coordinate card games, find hiking partners,

The Recreation Department is here to serve our owners in as many ways as possible. We might be able offer extra pro-grams not listed in the weekly activities schedule—or run additional sessions of activities that are listed. This depends on interest levels, weather, and staff commitments. Some activities not listed—but available—include: TRIVIA NIGHT | Approx. 2.0 hours | Your Villa | $40 | Ages 12+ We’ll entertain your whole family with Trivia Night. This event is a medley of different types of trivia. There is some-thing to make everyone feel clever and engaged: general knowledge, audio round (music clips), famous brand logos, puzzles, celebrity face mash-ups, and even a tasting round. Teams battle to be the know-it-alls of trivial matters. No-body is put on the spot; you submit written answers. Requires a minimum of 2 teams of 4 or more players. LASER BATTLE | Approx. 1.5 hours | $10 pp | Ages 9+ More fun than paintball and no bruises to worry about. The deadly accurate infra-red guns are light enough for every-one. We play on-site and no transportation is required. Meet at Games Room for safety briefing. Requires a minimum of 6 players.

NEW YEAR’S EVE GALA | 6:30PM - 1:00AM | Call 250-345-6311 for reservations The Monster Masquerade Ball includes party favours, music, dancing and a glass of bubbly at midnight. Everything goes—including masks, glamour wear, costumes or even full blown Monster attire. Prizes for the best costume! 16 years of age and older. $75 per person (includes tax and gratuity). Advance tickets required, available from the Lodge Front Desk.

This fun-filled interactive game show is exclusively for villa owners & guests. The Fairmont Ski Lodge is an amazing location and the perfect place to ring in the new year. Snacks, party favours and tons of fun provided. $20 per car load or $5/pp (cash only); get one free entry with every Fairmont Ski Area lift ticket dated Dec 31. NOTE: we celebrate “New York New Years” at 10:00 pm to accommodate family members of all ages. Happy New Year! The ski hill gate is only open for this private party between 7:40-8:00pm and re-opens from 10:00-10:15pm.
