JUNE/JULY CLASSES – Come Learn with Us!
Beginner Knitting! Whether you are just starting or refreshing your skill, this class is for you! Learn all of the knitting basics. Cast on, knit
and purl stitch, cable, yarn over, basic button hole and bind off to name a few. At the end you will have a fantastic
project that will launch your skills into your next creation! There will be five 2 hour classes.

Crochet Critters! OMG! I want to make them all! If you've never tried your hand at crochet, or are a crocheter, but never “hooked”
amigurumi critters, try this! Unlike traditional teeny tiny amigurumi you can use any weight yarn you're comfortable
with to create these fun animals. Basic crochet stitches, working in the round, finishing, and embroidery are all part of
the process. Work from one of the Menagerie Books, or grab a kit.

Mastering DPNs Workshop! Ahh! Help! I have 5 needles and my stitches still fall off!! Join us as we demystify double point needles. Learn to
manage multiple needles, avoid laddering, and keep all of your stitches on the needles. This workshop will give you
plenty of practice while making a little gift pouch, perfect for holding jewelry, change or other trinkets.

Fix It…”to err is human”! In this workshop you’ll learn to recognize exactly what went wrong in your work and how to fix it. From simple fixes

Measurements! Measurements! Measurements! Get your free measurements. An important part
of any knitter’s toolbox (not that we will ever fit inside) is knowing our correct
measurements, thus size. This will ensure for a much more confident knitter and
a better fitting garment every time. Hurry and get yours so you are ready for the
sweaters on our fall class list!

Stranding Workshop! Are you enamored with Norwegian color work? Have you tried to knit fair isle, only
to be frustrated with puckering and loose floats? This workshop is for you. Using the
Templetop Cowl pattern you’ll follow a color chart, 2 hand strand (yippee!), learn to
“trap” wool and be ready to tackle the most intricate colorwork patterns.

Intro to Nuno Felting! Try your hand at Nuno felting. Many of you have asked for a class and here it is!
Let your creative juices flow while playing with a multitude of fibers. Your finished scarf
will be 12” x 60”. Make one for yourself and get inspired to create many for the
birthday and holiday gifts to come.

Intro to Wet Felting - Flowers! Felted flowers are a beautiful way to add color to any arrangement and they won’t

Christmas in July - Snowflakes! Last year was a hit and we hope to continue the tradition. Crocheted snowflakes have
been made and passed down for years and it is our job to carry on. Bring your happy,
bring a bottle or a snack to share and let’s create some beautiful gifts for holiday giving.
The crocheted ornaments make a great hostess gift tied onto a bottle of wine…the
gift that keeps on giving. Crochet knowledge is a must.

The Granny Square! Granny squares can be modern and elegant (think Herriot fine), or can be cheery and bright, (think Weepaca), or log
cabin earthy (ah, Green Mt. Spinnery). In this workshop we'll work 3 squares. A traditional
granny, a circle in a square, and a hexagon. Take your crochet to the next step. Magic ring,
working in the round, changing colors, weaving ends successfully.

Knitted Knockers! Make them colored. Make them plain. Make them wildly insane. Knittedknockers.org supports women struggling with
breast cancer. These soft knitted knockers, which can be made in a variety of sizes, act as prosthetic. Let’s learn
together how we can add to this incredible support group. Knowledge
of DPNs is necessary.

2 Color Brioche!
Using Purl Soho's “Brioche Hat and Cowl” you can achieve dramatic results. A little “barking and burping”, a lot of
brioche stitch anatomy come together in this class. Use a chunky weight yarn for perfect fall Cowl, or try using a dk
weight for a lighter, Draper effect. Perfect way to get started before tackling more involved
brioche projects.

Spinning and Drop Spindle! Beginner Spinning and Drop Spindle classes are available! Have you ever felt drawn to the spinning process and
thought 'someday I'd like to do that'? This is the time! Whether spinning on a wheel or a drop spindle, you will learn
from our Master Spinner, Connie Wieczorek. If spinning is your choice, you will start with a raw fleece and learn the
skills that will allow you to spin on your own wheel. We will go from sheep to yarn! If you want to get your feet wet
before committing yourself to your fiber lust, then drop spindle is for you. Bring on the fiber!
A spinning wheel in good working order prior to class is required or one may be rented.
Drop Spindle kits are available at the store.

Private Spinning Lessons! Private Lessons are available for beginner spinning and drop spindle. Master Spinner, Connie Wieczorek, enjoys
sharing what she has learned and will tailor the lessons to your needs and interests. This private setting allows the client
