Warmer rooms. Steaming showers. When your home has natural gas, every day can be the ultimate housewarming. Natural gas offers exceptional comfort, convenience and energy savings year round.

Faster heating. A natural gas furnace warms a home faster with heat up to 25 degrees warmer than electric heat pumps.

Ample hot water. A natural gas water heater heats water about twice as fast as most electric models, and provides faster recovery and seemingly endless supply.

Higher efficiency. Natural gas furnaces and water heaters are more energy efficient, economical to operate and durable compared to electric models. Come see Kingston Ridge and the energy advantage of natural gas.Visit sceg.com/value or call 1-866-523-8242 to learn more.

*Savings calculated based on a home with natural gas for heat and water heating. SCE&G bill credits and offers subject to change. Must meet minimum requirements.

Our Energy Ally

Makingthe

COLUMBIA HOME & GARDEN presents the second of a

two part series exploring the idea of using solar energy to heat, cool,

and power our homes. In the previous issue we described

passive solar energy techniques, which involve site orientation

and design elements to either utilize or discourage the sun’s natural heat

in creating a comfortable interior atmosphere. This time, we

delve into what’s known as active solar — that is, capturing the sun’s

light to generate electricity, in some cases enough to sell back to the

power company itself!

“I’d put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don’t have to

wait till oil and coal run out before we tackle that.” Thomas Edison

After almost a decade of working to ensure our community’s cardiac needs can be met close to home, we’re proud to announce that you can receive complete cardiac care at Lexington Medical Center this spring.
