What is the difference?

• Color Correction = getting rid of a color cast

• Color grading = adding color to tell a story

color correction

• there are many tools available. try out the following tools:

• Image>auto color

• adj layer photo filter > check neutralize, enter

• adj. layer Curves> in one of the color channels pull up or down the middle of the curve

• try the method on the following slide color, blending the inverse color of the cast

Remove color cast

• sample color in hilights

• fill layer, invert, blend mode color, opacity ~8%, protect shadows in “blend if”

• repeat for shadows
