Colonialism is a system in which a state (nation) claims sovereignty over
territory and people outside its own boundaries, often to facilitate
economic domination over their resources, labor, and markets.

If you have a plant or animal that was only in the Western Hemisphere go to
that side of the room, and do the opposite for the Eastern Hemisphere

Now within your hemisphere, find people to make a meal with. Use at
least 3 foods per meal. Be prepared to explain your meal to the class.

to the Old World during the colonization of the
Americas
After Columbus Post 1492Once Columbus made his
journey to the new world, the biological material from
both places mixed. Now find people with a mixture
of Old World and New World foods and make
meals that represent this mixing. At least three foods
per meal. Be prepared to explain your meal to the
class.
