Welcome to CSS 2015„Memory culture and politics of memory in postconflict societies of the
Global South“

The Center of Latin America (ASPLA) would like to invite local and international students
to participate in the Cologne Summer School 2015, in one of Germany’s most vibrant cities.
For MA students with a focus on Latin America looking for a unique academic challenge.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMME
This Summer School combines impulse presentations, podium discussions
with experts, a guided workshop that includes a group project as well as
group excursions.

tour of the historic Melaten cemetery / An
interactive visit to the NS-Documentation
Center of the City of Cologne / Book
reading by Patricio Pron / Screening of the

with live music.
COSTS
Students of the University of Cologne: 40€
External students: 65 €
For external participants we will cover lodging at
a local hostel from 05.-12. September including
breakfast.
Board: For all participants we will offer lunch at
the university cafeteria during the week.
