Complimentary Self-Parking in the Covered Parking

GUEST GUARANTEE

Final guest guarantee is due no later than 12:00 noon

three business days prior to event. This will be

considered your minimum guarantee and is not subject

to reduction and charges will be made accordingly. If

no guarantee is received, the original expected

attendance on your Banquet Event Order will be used

as the guarantee for the event. The Hotel cannot be

held responsible for service to more than three percent

above the provided guarantee if additional guests

attend the event.

SERVICE CHARGE & SALES TAX

All package prices are per person. All Food and

Beverage include a 22% service charge, 6% sales tax

and 9% alcohol tax. Audio Visual equipment is subject to

a 22% taxable service charge and 6% sales tax.

MENU TASTING

Your Certified Wedding Planner and Award Winning

Executive Chef offer you a complimentary menu tasting

prior to your wedding. Tasting is offered for up to four

guests to sample a maximum of three menu items per

course. Alcoholic Beverages are not included. Tasting

will be set up during non-peak meal hours.

GENERAL INFORMATION

IN HOUSE EQUIPMENT

Hotel will provide, at no charge, a reasonable amount of

event equipment (for example standard banquet chairs,

tables, dance floor, table for DJ, etc.). These

complimentary arrangements do not include special

setups or extraordinary formats that would deplete the

Hotel’s present in-house equipment to the point of

requiring rental of an additional supply to accommodate

the group’s needs. If such special setups or extraordinary

formats are requested, Hotel will present group two

alternatives: (1) charging group the rental cost for the

additional equipment, or (2) changing the extraordinary

setup to a standard format avoiding the additional cost.

METHODS OF PAYMENT AND ADVANCE

DEPOSIT SCHEDULE An initial non-refundable deposit due when the contract to

hold the space is signed. If the event is cancelled for any

reason, the hotel will retain the deposit as a cancellation

fee. Scheduled deposits will be outlined on the

agreement. The final balance is due no less than three

business days prior to the wedding. Acceptable methods

of payment are approved credit cards, cashiers check,

certified check or cash.

OUTSIDE VENDORS Vendors, decorations and displays must be approved by

the Hotel prior to arrival. The Hotel requires that outside

vendors provide an indemnification agreement and proof

of adequate insurance (certificate of insurance with Hotel

name listed under additional insured) in a form and

amount reasonably satisfactory to the Hotel.

BAR SERVICE

The hotel does not permit the serving of alcoholic beverages to

anyone under the age of 21. All guests in attendance who are

drinking alcoholic beverages will be required to have a

government-issued valid identification regardless of age. Our

bartenders have the right to require proof of age before serving

alcoholic beverages to a guest. The hotel reserves the right to

refuse service to any person who appears intoxicated. No

alcoholic beverages are allowed to be brought into the Hotel.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

Due to food safety laws, the Hotel specifically prohibits the

removal of food and beverage from the function by the client or

any of the client’s guests. All food and beverage will be

provided by Hotel and will be consumed within the time frame

of the event as stated on the Banquet Event Order. Any food or

beverages brought into the hotel without prior consent from the

Hotel will be confiscated.

SECURITY

The Hotel shall not assume any responsibility for the security

of, damage to, or loss of any personal property or articles

brought into the Hotel or any item left unattended. Should you

require security officers for your

event, a UMUC security detail can be provided for a nominal

fee.
