20.193WL ABOUT THE HUMAN SERVICES PROGRAM Originally a vibrant program in the College of Public and Community Service, the Human Services Program is now a flourishing interdisciplinary program in the College of Liberal Arts. It continues to attract a diverse student population and provide intellectually stimulating and hands-on opportunities for students to learn—both in and outside the classroom. Service-Learning Field-based learning provides students with opportunities to experiment and pursue careers that match their academic and personal interests. Internships give students experience applying their knowledge and skills in work situations and increases their network of contacts in the field. What Is Human Services? The field of human services focuses on enhancing the well-being of individuals, families, and communities by connecting them with appropriate resources and tools for empowerment and social transformation.

The Bachelor of Arts in Human Services Program

• Requirements: Ten major courses and required internship
