WHAT OUR STUDENTS ARE SAYING:
Forget what you’ve heard about getting a terminal degree in higher education. You’ve probably heard the process takes too long, that it’s basically impossible to do while working and not easy for a student who has been out of the classroom for a while, right? Not in this program.
The EdD in Higher Education Administration Executive Cohort offers a theoretically-rich curriculum with a one weekend per month schedule that allows students to earn a doctoral degree in nine semesters. With exceptional faculty and an executive atmosphere, the cohort format provides flexibility without compromising quality.
Students also have the opportunity to learn more about higher education in other countries through an international study experience. Past cohorts have visited England, Chile, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.
v I have been able to present the research required of me in this program at two distinguished nursing conferences for nursing professionals. I appreciate the opportunity to focus on issues and problems that directly impact my profession and career.
-Anthony, Dean/Director, Accelerated Baccalaureate of Nursing Program
v To say that this program has been life changing is no exaggeration! I didn’t realize how much I’d come to rely on my cohort, first with assignments and now with the comprehensive exam, my cohort has been my lifeline.
-Tim, Director of Athletics
v Though you are a “non-traditional” student when you are on campus, the Executive EdD faculty and staff do an amazing job of making you feel right at home, providing first-class service, and being responsive to anything you need to support your academic growth.
-Amy, Assistant Director of Student Support Services
v The University of Alabama’s Executive EdD program prepared me for the advanced opportunities that I am now experiencing. I would not be where I am today without this program!
-Ken, Vice President of Administrative Services
Our students travel from a number of states across the country. Each cohort is diverse and male/female representation is roughly equal. Students also vary in age (from 27-62 years old) and experience level.
