Community Outreach: Direct Design Assistance (DDA) program

Typical project areas: • Housing• Green space• Mapping + analysis• Urban revitalization• Educational materials

DDA provides one to two weeks of working days of technical assistance to help solve design and planning issues. MDC works with small cities, neighborhoods & other nonprofit organizations.

Human Dimensioning Laboratory

• Accurately measure & assess complex forms --human body

• Uses: local corporations study sizing; within the University study human factors related to health, well being (pesticide application), first responders ( fire fighters)

• Funding from NSF, AES, IAS
