Actions: New/Revised PolicyAt least six (6) credit hours of the coursework used to satisfy an ESF-administered minor must be from ESF-registered courses taken while the student is matriculated at ESF. Background and Rationale:• A minor could be satisfied using solely transfer credits. • This approach is contradictory to the intent of ESF-administered minors. • Students who receive an ESF-administered minor have taken a substantive number
of ESF-registered credits, while providing flexibility to transfer coursework. • “ESF-registered courses” means those courses for which a SUNY ESF student could
register through the campus registration system, including but not limited to ESF, Syracuse University and Upstate Medical University.
• Similar to two of the current requirements for graduation:– Matriculated status as an undergraduate student;– At least 24 of the last 30 credits must be registered for through ESF
CoC is proposing to adopt this policy statement effective AY 15-16.
