During his 6-year stint at Louisville, Alex coached 3 conference Players of the Year, 2 Freshman of the Year, Setter of the Year and 2 Defensive Players of the Year. This training experience and recruiting success earned the Cardinals ACC (2015) and AAC (2013) titles. Alex found success in the club realm guiding KIVA’s 16-1 team and Iowa High Performance Regional Teams. Alyssa D’Errico Dayton Assistant Coach Arguably one of the nation’s winningest volleyball players of all-time, Alyssa was a member of the 4-time NCAA D1 National Champion Penn State Nittany Lions. While at PSU, the 3-time captain was involved in a 109-consecutive match win streak. Upon graduation, D’Errico played overseas in Spain, Croatia and France. Returning to the states brought the standout to the sidelines as assistant coach at Georgetown and then later to University of Louisville. D’Errico is entering into her first season with the Dayton Flyers. Morris Cephas Austin Peay Assistant Coach Coach Cephas joins the Govs coaching staff coming off the heels of the nation’s 5th most-improved turnaround (12 1/2 game improvement from 2015 season). The Conference Carolina Libero of the Year at King University exchanged his jersey for a tie to lead the Tornados. In his first 2 seasons, King made it to the conference finals just falling short of a championship. Morris guided multiple all conference and region athletes including Summer Kremer who led the NCAA DII in kills and was named All American. COACHING EXPERIENCE AND ACCOLADES • Austin Peay (2016 – present). • King University (2014 – 2016). • 54 collegiate head coaching wins. • Conference Carolina 2-time division champion. Chuck Crawford MTSU Head Coach Chuck is a well-known coaching figure throughout the South. Crawford’s game planning and recruiting prowess was key to the resurgence of the Auburn Tigers upsetting No. 10 Florida and No. 21 Arkansas. His impact has been felt at the national level as well as training Georgia Tech’s Chanell Clark-Bibbs who eventually earned a spot on USA’s Junior National Team in 2013. Steve McRoberts Ole Miss Head Coach Leading the revival of Ole Miss Volleyball, Steve has strung together 3 winning seasons (2 of which were 20+ wins). Winning is nothing new to McRoberts. With an impressive career record of 535-198, he has won 10 conference titles, is a 10-time conference coach of the year and a 5-time region coach of the year. McRoberts’ coached teams have earned births to the NCAA national tournament in multiple seasons. Nicki Holmes NC State Assistant Coach An abundance of rich volleyball experience has brought an unparalleled depth to Nicki’s coaching abilities. Deeply rooted in the USA Volleyball program, Holmes has been exposed to some of our country’s top athletes and coaches. He has served as program manager for the Collegiate National Team, led National Team Open Tryouts and is a coach for Select/Youth National Teams. In addition, Coach Holmes has been instrumental in the success of many NCAA D1 programs. AJ Bonetti UT Assistant Coach AJ has established himself as a “defensive wizard!” This can be seen in the emerging net play of the UT Volunteers. While at UNCW, he helped to build the program into a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) force. His tutelage led 2 middle blockers to be ranked in the nation’s top 10 in blocks during the same season! The Seahawks recorded three 20-wins seasons and 10 players earned All CAA honors with Bonetti on the sidelines. He has rounded out his volleyball skill set gaining experience with video coordination along with strength and conditioning and various statistical programs.
