The teams will continue to refine these plans for review and approval by the School Committee this spring. Many students came fully decked out in Patriots gear today. Thank you for helping your child show school spirit and Patriots spirit. Go PATS! New York Times bestselling author/illustrator Brian Lies will visit our kindergarten through second grade students on Monday, February 13th. PTO NEWS

We are excited about the upcoming annual Variety Show on Thursday, 2/16 and will begin ticket sales on Monday, 2/6. Please note that due to the record-high student participation this year, we must follow the following ticket protocol: TWO tickets per family with students in the show will be reserved in the Cole School office through Friday, 2/10. You may purchase them at any time during the week at $10 per ticket. On Monday, 2/13 at 9am, general ticket sales will begin and will include all unclaimed reserved tickets. At that time, there will be a purchase limit of two tickets per person (in addition to the reserved tickets purchased the week prior).

We are seeking volunteers for the Monday, 2/6 Rehearsal, Dress Rehearsal and the Variety Show due to the high number of participants. If you would like to volunteer, please email us at [email protected]. Volunteers will NOT need to purchase a ticket and will be able to watch the show while helping with the students.

Also please note that Rehearsal on Monday, 2/6 will include all acts in order, therefore rehearsal time will be extended until 6pm.

Join us after early dismissal on Monday, 2/13 at Skate for 8! Skating is at Pilgrim Arena from 1-2pm and a parent MUST be present. Please bring your own skates and for safety reasons, we cannot allow hockey sticks. Tickets are $8 and available for purchase using the following link: http://coleptonews.wixsite.com/cole-school-pto/news__events. There is a 60 skater capacity so round up your friends and purchase your tickets today!

Congratulations to Mrs. Deptula’s class as they are the winner of this week’s Box Tops contest, collecting 582 box tops. This week Cole School collected 1873 Box Tops in total. Keep on clipping!

It's national Take Your Child to the Library Day! The whole family will enjoy Big Ryan's delightful 45-minute program of winter-themed stories. Following the show, donuts and juice will be served.

Read to Spider, the chihuahua from Dog B.O.N.E.S - Monday, February 6, 4:30-5:30 pm

Children who are learning to read or simply love to read aloud will enjoy sharing a story with this little fellow. Bring a favorite book or choose from the library's collection. Drop in, as space permits.

Library Story Time - Wednesdays, Feb. 8 and Feb. 15, 10:30 am

Please join us at the Library for a half hour of stories and a coloring or craft activity with your child. No need to register.

Books & Bubbles - Friday, Feb. 10, 11:30 am

Books & Bubbles is a 20-minute program led by the Children's Librarian, featuring nursery rhymes, songs, bounces, and ... bubbles! The program is geared to toddlers, but older and younger siblings (including babies) are welcome. Following the program, adults are invited to linger for conversation while children play with age-appropriate toys. No need to register.

NPL a Pajamas Drop-Off Location for Bruins PJ Drive

The Norwell Public Library has teamed up with the Boston Bruins to participate in their annual pajama drive to benefit DCF Kids and Cradles to Crayons. The PJ Drive's goal is to collect 10,000 pairs of new pajamas for children and teens in need. Norwell residents may drop their donations of new pajamas at the Library from February 1 through March 15, 2017. Libraries from around the state use the Massachusetts Library System's delivery service, typically used to send books and other library materials, to send their PJs to area collection locations, which increases libraries' ability to participate in the drive.
