The smell of fresh baked banana bread, the sound of a stereo, the happy hello of a grandmother waiting to see you and moms heels clicking

on the hard wood as she walks in the door after work. These are some of the things that make my house more than place to sleep every night.

The memories that live inside these walls give my house a whole new name; home. Without the people I love here to share my experiences and

include me in theirs, my home would cease to exist.

From the dining room to the bathroom there are memories that come to mind. The funny and shocking stories shared over the dinner table

are a good place to start in describing why my house is a home. The stories from when I was a toddler that still make me laugh eight years after

they were rst told, and even the simple description of everyones day, bring joy and a sense warmth to room that make it a place I want to

go. It is not just a room to me. It is a part of me that time and distance cannot change. And even the bathroom is a part of me, as odd as that

sounds. The days when Mom laughed at me trying to x my unruly hair, but failing miserably, will bring a smile to my face long after I have left

home. The living room however holds the most and the best memories. Hours of Wheel Of Fortune, Jeopardy, Deadliest Catch and countless TVmovies; time spent with my family that I would not have spent any other way. Jokes passed back and forth and random conversations that only

my family could have. These memories make my house a home. They symbolize the love and acceptance that I cannot nd anywhere else except

at home. Without these memories my home would become four walls, windows, and a roof.

My memories, that is what makes my house into a home. Not the cozy living room or the spacious loft, not the two full bathrooms or the

large kitchen. It is the memories that are made in those places. My house is full of memories, good, bad, happy and sad, which is why I consider

it my home. The one place I will always belong.
