Our Sustainability Journey

For more than 50 years, being a responsible member of the global community has been woven into all aspects of our company culture. As our manufacturing and distribution networks have expanded worldwide, our impact on the environment has become an increasingly important concern for everyone at Ralph Wilson.

Several years ago, Ralph Wilson took the lead to reshape the supply chain for our paper source, which makes up 70% of our High Pressure Laminate (HPL) product lines. Our technical department worked with suppliers to ensure all source materials such as kraft, pulp, and decorative paper met stringent FSC certification requirements. At the onset of the project, no company in the industry had undertaken this endeavor. Wilsonart was the first North American laminate manufacturer to achieve Forest Stewardship Council® Chain of Custody Certification, providing thousands of SKUs of FSC® Mix Credit Certified HPL.

At Ralph Wilson, we continuously strive to improve our products and processes while ensuring minimal impact on the world around us. 34% of fiber used to makeRalph Wilson Laminate comes from recycled sources. The recycled content in Wilsonart Laminate is certified by SCS Global Services (see third-party certificates online). Our laminates are also UL GREENGUARD Gold Certified for low chemical emissions, which can assist you in earning

LEED® certification. All standard Ralph Wilson Laminates are available on request as FSC Mix Credit, SCS-COC-002415. Ralph Wilsonis proud to be the first adhesive manufacturer to have its low-emitting PVA and woodworking adhesives recognized by UL’s GREENGUARD Certification Program for indoor air quality.

HD® HIGH DEFINITION® LAMINATE

Ralph Wilson ® HD ® High Definition Laminate, Type 376, has an optical dimensionality plus increased wear resistance and is postformable. It is intended for residential applications and many commercial applications including countertops, work surfaces, checkout counters, and tabletops.

ANTIMICROBIAL PROTECTION is built into the laminate to protect the surface against damaging microbes. Antimicrobial agents protect the surface from the growth of mold, mildew and bacteria that cause odors when used for countertops and work surfaces.

A directional texture running the lengthof the sheet, having a narrow, random,

matte-gloss linear quality. It is complementaryto linear woodgrains, and linear patterns andprovides dimension and visual movement to solid colors. Recommended for horizontal and vertical application.


#12 SoftGrain - Premium

A dense, woodgrain structure that islow gloss and soft to the touch. Subtle

highlights of refl ectivity randomly occur within the embossed grains, creating a sophisticated raw wood look. Recommended for horizontal and vertical application.


#01 High Gloss - Premium

A mirror sheen finish, which gives a smooth, brilliant appearance. Recommended for

horizontal applications such as countertops and light-to medium commercial applications. Excellent for vertical application.

#22 Antique - Premium

A mixture of varying low gloss features combined with organic movement,

indicative of the surface of an aged stone or an antique metal. Recommended for horizontal and vertical application. Glossometer reading:
