FRONT COVER

There i s a parenta l adv isory on th is wh ich would mean that i t i s on ly su i tab le fo r adu l ts and teenagers because i t wi l l have swear words, so th is a lbum would be su i tab le fo r ch i ldren.

The mise en scene o f th is a lbum ar twork wou ld aga in suggest that th is fi ts in fo r the genre o f goth ic o r meta l because o f the make up that she has got on and because o f the fact that she has got greasy and messy ha i r and that ’s the s tereotype o f peop le who l ike that k ind o f mus ic . The g i r l s make up is runn ing therefore th is a lbum g ives me the fee l that i t i s qu i te depress ing and sad because i t looks as though she has been cry ing .

Most of the f ront a lbum cover is b lack and whi te which again gives the express ion that i t i s qui te sad and depress ing. The only bi t of co lor i s the blue eyes and th is draws the eyes draws your attent ion because i t s tands out , her overal l express ion on her face looks as though she is sad and unhappy so th is refl ects wi th what type of songs that are in the a lbum. The tape around her mouth and the words ‘ just l i s ten’ i s good because i ts te l l ing you not to ta lk and to just l i s ten to the songs and the lyr ics .

You can see a p icture of the band and above them there’s there names and what they do in the band. This is something that I l ike because you then know who is doing what. So when i t comes to l i s tening to the songs you can picture them doing i t .

INSIDE

At a fi rst g lance i t looks as though that they a l l are equal and there isn’ t someone in the bad that is more popular than the others . However I looked at i t c lose ly and i t looks as though the gui tar ist on the le ft i s a b i t more forward than the others where as the other look as though they are standing next to each other. I ’m unsure i f th is was done on purpose or whether th is is a coinc idence. I a lso not iced that the bass player and vocal ist are wear ing l ighter c lothes than the others and they stand out a b i t more and your eyes are drawn towards them than the other two. The drummer a lso looks to be a bi t more smal l than the rest , th is could however be the case that he is smal l or th is could have been done on purpose because he could be the least favor i te in the group.

They have added thank you notes at the bottom of the page, which is a n ice touch. I l ike how they’re keeping to the theme because i t shows consistency throughout. A lso look ing at how the band is dressed I th ink i t i s a lot more metal rock than gothic because they are dressed stereotypical ly for metal than Goth

The CD looks a b i t l ike paint when you dab i t wi th a sponge or in a way i t looks a bi t l ike smoke.

INSIDE

The background looks l ike people party ing, I th ink that th is was taken at one of the i r concerts . I t looks l ike they are raving and having a lot of fun and maybe i t could be a mosh pi t . This is the only th ing in the a lbum that is te l l ing me that i t i sn’ t a sad a lbum and i t i s more of a rock a lbum.

The image at the back is a lso in b lack and white which is keeping to the theme of b lack and white .

The same font is used as the f ront cover, and again i ts a l l b lack and white so i ts keeping up wi th the gothic and metal v ide that th is a lbum is g iv ing.

Looking at th is the background looks a lot l ike whi te paint be ing dabbed onto a grey background.

BACK COVER

The background is exact ly l ike the CD which I th ink is a good thing because i t means that everything on this a lbum is matching which is a good th ing.

The l i s t of songs is the same font as the a lbum cover again i ts a l l l ink ing which I l ike because everything goes together and i ts not random and i t doesn’ t look stupid.
