What is a CoderScore 360 Review?

The CoderScore 360 Review provides employers with a new performance review tool for targeted coder recognition, improvement, and simplified annual reviews. It creates a professional feedback opportunity that enables managers, coworkers, physicians, providers and cross-functional peers to painlessly provide feedback about a coder’s performance.

How does it work?

The CoderScore 360 Review aggregates crowdsourced data from managers, coworkers, physicians, providers and cross-functional peers with more than 40 categorized data points from four frameworks: 1) Verification of Real-World Competency including Employer Satisfaction 2) Job Community Involvement 3) Recent and Relevant Education 4) Volume of Job Experience.

Coders and reviewers are sent a hyperlink that takes them to a cloud-based platform, which may be branded with your logo.  Coders complete an online assessment that takes about 25 minutes which is augmented by ranking feedback from reviewers, which takes less than 2 minutes per reviewer to

complete.

How is it different?

CoderScore provides a credit score equivalent for a medical coder’s skills. It uses a patent-pending dynamic process to evaluate the ongoing value of a medical coder’s demonstrated skills. It uses a three-digit number generated by a mathematical algorithm that predicts the likelihood of the coder making mistakes.  This allows managers to quickly rank coders to target

optimal improvement opportunities and recognition for top performers. It differs from a single manager’s appraisal of a coder because it gives the combined perspective of your coders from managers, physicians, and others alongside national standards in skills verification.
