COCA-COLA EthiopiaHead-quartered in Atlanta, Georgia, The Coca-Cola Company is an historic, American company. A multi-national beverage corporation, it manufactures, retails and markets non-alcoholic drink concentrates and syrups, and is best known for its flagship product Coca-Cola.

Invented in 1886 by pharmacist John Stith Pemberton of Columbus, Georgia, Coca-Cola was first bottled in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa in 1959. Today, the company operates its own bottling business - Coca-Cola Refreshments, in north-America.

In Africa, it has recently launched its Replenish Africa Initiative’s Multiple Use Water Improvements project, something with which ACO is proud to be involved.

Project description New Building for PET bottling plant and extension and refurbishment of Coca-Cola glass bottling plant in Addis Ababa Ethiopia.Production plant after the renovation including ACO drainage, has the ISO certification In 2014 the Addis Ababa plant approved for ISO 9001/14001/18001 and the Dire Dawa plant for ISO 14001/18001.

Key factors of ACO success in this project Support at the design from the drainage systems, special solutions like glass traps according with local experience of Coca-Cola Ethiopia, Technical service and competence on-site in EthiopiaTraining to the construction company.Introduction to Coca-Cola by technical partner Elmi Olindo Construction company and provided a perfect installation and support to ACO with talks to the local designer and local Coca-Cola organization.
