NOVEMBER 2017

Well, well, well…………….for those of you who missed one of the GREAT

FOOTBALL TAILGATES of ALL TIME (yes I know I exaggerate) November 4th,

SHAME ON YOU, but for those of us who were there, we all had a GREAT TIME. As

I mentioned in the last Coach’s Corner after a two year hiatus we will again be

having, AT LEAST, some football tailgates again.

My hope is that we will also being doing some BASKETBALL TAILGATES next year

so please stay tuned.

THANK GOD the MOUNTAINEERS cooperated and we beat IOWA STATE, but

again this week (WVU/TEXAS November 18th) you will again have the opportunity

to join us at the ERICKSON ALUMNI CENTER for a great time of food, fellowship,

and great MOUNTAINEER SPIRIT.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH in CHARLESTON, WV (October 21, 2017)

Eight Junior and Senior Dental Students joined Dr. Elizabeth Kao in a wonderful

gesture of service to the underserved in our GREAT MOUNTAIN STATE.

Patients from the Kanawha Valley and surrounding counties received free

medical, vision, and dental services because of the GENEROSITY of volunteers

throughout West Virginia.

DR. FRANK STEVENS GOLF TOURNAMENT (June 1, 2018)

For all you great golfers in MOUNTAINEER LAND (that certainly excludes me,

although the world’s worst golfer will play), the Dr. Frank Stevens Alumni Golf

Tournament is back. It will be held at the PINES COUNTRY CLUB in Morgantown

on June 1st, 2018 and you should be receiving additional information in the near

future.

BRIDGE DAY, October 21, 2017

The WVU School of Dentistry was also well represented at Bridge Day and Dr.

Susan Morgan and students from the NUMBER 1 Dental School in the World were

again on hand to give hundreds of spectators information concerning tobacco

cessation, sugar consumption and oral hygiene instructions. GREAT JOB, GREAT

JOB, GREAT JOB

THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving and the upcoming Holiday Season is a time when all of us can

COUNT OUR BLESSINGS and HOPEFULLY all of us think of ways we can help our

fellow man.

I had mentioned about giving you all a tour of the school but I thought I would

wait till 2018 (NEW YEARS RESOLUTION).
