CNC OPERATOR 2 Summary: Perform Tasks assigned to Machine Shop by the CNC Programmer or Management. Set up and operate various CNC Mills/Lathes. Work with Blue prints, sketches, planning sheets, verbal instructions and/ or engineering, tooling, or equipment information. Works independently with minimum guidance in a team environment. Able to direct multiple CNC Operator 1 level employees during a specific Shift. Report directly with management team on all efficiency issues or increases. Essential duties and responsibilities: - Manage and supervise multiple CNC Operator 1 level employees to maximum efficiency levels - Program and adjust CNC machines at the machine to incorporate all applicable changes as needed. - Help with design and programming of any new parts, fixtures, jigs, tooling as needed. - Load and run parts into CNC Mill/Lathe Machines - Detail and finish Parts per Blueprint - Maintain production efficiency levels - Keep machine tools in clean and working order - Fill out Inspection first article and in process reports - Complete Job traveler fully and accurately - Manually QC check all parts before turning into QC Department and notify management if anything is out of spec. - Turn in First article and be approved before running any new parts. Education and/or Experience: High School diploma required; College or Technical degree not mandatory but is a definite plus. Minimum of three years CNC experience with a Technical School degree. Experience using CAD/CAM software is needed. Competitive compensation package based on capabilities and experience.
