Flat Roof Art deco building’s roofs were either flat or very low-pitched
(typically 10˚ or less) and eaves gutters seldom had an overhang

Central market has a flat roof with no cornice or overhang which is suitable for hot weather like Malaysia and it provides a typical Art Deco style for vision.

Coliseum theatre has a flat roof with a curve edge.

Windows Windows typically followed the curve where it was deep or semicircular. Windows are often large with metal sashes

Tall, narrow windows provides natural light and ventilations for the building.

Narrow windows are the main component of Art Deco architecture. The windows with metal muntins also shows the Art Deco styles.

The walkway is created to enable pedestrians to walk under cover, protected from the sun and rain, and away from vehicular traffic.

Decorations Decorative features on the walls were bas-relief art deco designs such as
chevrons or zigzags, motifs, or sometimes simply horizontal or vertical parallel bands or lines and etc. Most of the decorations focus on repetitions

The discrete horizontal 'banding' on the exterior facade is the first indications that this is an Art Deco building.

Art Deco frequently utilises contrasting materials to emphasize differences in colour and texture. The white frieze with a bas-relief of overlapping coins frames the entire central exterior facade of the building. It shows repetitions.

The pillar in Central market with ziggurat elements (staggered or tiered pyramid shapes) emphasis Art Deco style. The motifs pattern on the floor also one of the Art Deco characteristics.
