Accessing the Extranet

To access your client-specific extranet, go to the Gen Re website:

http:// www.genre.com

Once our homepage has launched, click on the Extranet Login button:

The following will be evoked:

Click on the button labeled Gen Re online.

The following authentication screen will be presented: Your Gen Re sponsor would have emailed your login information to you. Enter your User Name and Password. This is a security measure to ensure that only authorized people are using your extranet. As the password is typed, an asterisk (*) will display for each character, so that no one can view the password being entered. Click Login.

Gen Re online Screen

After successfully authenticating, the Gen Re online screen will be displayed. Be aware that the Web Administrator at your company has the ability to make modifications to your user records such as name, password and your company’s available extranet offerings.

Your new Gen Re online screen contains the myToolkit Tab with all of your current extranet links. Additionally, you will find new tabs:

Publications - a constantly updated list of our most recent releases Highlights - keep track of the latest newsworthy activities from Gen Re myLinks - personalize your Gen Re contact list, favorite industry links and more!

The My ID Administration will allow you to change your password at any time.

Once you have selected one of your available offerings, you will see its links in the tab located above My Toolkit. In this example, the available links for Sample Loss Memo are entitled Loss Memo Links.
