    * When you pull the lever onthe right, a clown shoots out ofthe cannon. It is a fun craft.

    Assembly Instructions

    Tools and materials

    Assembly tip

    Caution

    Scissors, set square, glue(We recommend stick glue), pencil, usedballpoint pen, toothpicks, tweezers, (useful for handling small parts)

    Before gluing, crease the paper along mountain fold and valleyfold lines and make sure rounded sections are nice and stiff.

    Glue, scissors and other tools may be dangerous to young childrenso be sure to keep them out of the reach of young children.

    Assembly Instructions : Fifteen US letter sheets (No. 1 to No. 15)

    *Hint: Trace along the folds with a ruler and an exhausted pen (no ink) to get a sharper, easier fold.

    * Build the model by carefully reading the Assembly Instructions, in the parts sheet page order.

    Before starting assembly : Writing the number of each section onits back side before cutting out the sections is highly recommended.(* This way, you can be sure which section is which even aftercutting out the sections.)

    Indicates where sections should be glued together.

    Indicates the order for assembling parts.

    Indicates where to insert sections.Do not glue the sections together.

    Round bar : Use to give parts a curved surface.

    Tweezers : Useful in working with fine parts.

    Spread glue in a thin,even layer before gluingsurfaces together.

    Glue one side of the shaft (Part 11),and then check if the Parts 1+ 2 go through the centerof the rectangular holein Part 10.

    Then glue the otherside.

    Slightly shift the edges of

    the slit to the left and right.

    Push and pull the lever

    to check the movement.

    Curl the section of Part 14that will form a cylinder witha round bar.

    Roll Part 17 tightly,insert into Parts 14 +15and then unroll.

    Glue together to the pastingmargins of Parts 14 and 17.

    Note :Do not apply glue to partsother than the pasting margins.

    Glue the cannon battery(Part 21) to the pastingmargins on both sides ofPart 10.

    Then, glue the semi-circularpasting margins in the front

    and rear.

    Prepare part 4 in the same way.

    Glue the 4 corners of thetop board of the base.

    Work on a flat surface to preventdistortion of the base.

    Glue 3 sides of the base (rear, right and left sides).

    Note :Do not glue the front side (Part 29) at this point yet.

    Firmly form the shape as you glueto prevent distortion.

    For the clowns head, glue in theorder of the hair, hat, chin and nose.

    Pull the lever and glue the clowns legs

    Prepare 2 strings.

    Tightly knot the 2 strings ataround 5 to 6cm from the top.

    Wind the string on the slitof Part 39 and glue. Note :Make sure the lengthsfrom the 2 Parts 39 tothe knot are the same.

    Note :Do not gluethis part.

    Length: 30cm: 1 string 10cm: 1 string

    Approx. 4cm

    Glue only the bellows section.

    Bend the hand and arm slightly towardyou and glue.

    Prepare part 38 in the same way.

    Pass the triangular prismthrough the hole in the armand attach so that the armcovers the shoulder.

    Glue both sides of the face.

    Parts 34 to 39

    Glue the feet parts.

    Glue both sides of

    the body and thenglue the shoulders.

    Pass the string coming out of the clownsfeet through the square hole on the base.Then, glue the clowns feet on the base.

    Glue both sides of the hat (on the rear side).Then, glue the triangular prism inside to theinner side of the back of the clown.

    Bend the hands and arms slightlyforward so that they are in frontof the face.

    Attach flags (Parts 42 and 43) toboth hands of the clown and movethe hands to cover the clowns eyes.

    (For flags assembling, see P.14)

    Lead the string passing throughthe base to the 2 columns as

    shown in the illustration.Pull the lever all the way andthen insert the string into the slitat the edge.

    Pull and push a few times to checkthe movements of the arms and lever.

    When the clown s hands cover theeyes as the lever is pulled, glue Part 13on both sides to lock the strings.

    *Trim off any dangling ends of the string.

    Glue the front (Part 29) to the base.Pull and push the lever to check theoverall movement.
