CLIMATIC AREAS IN THE WORLD

CLIMATEIt is the what the weather is like over a long period of time in a specific place. Climate does not change every day as weather does.

There are three climatic areas in the world: Polar, Temperate and Tropical.

POLAR CLIMATE

We can find Polar climate in the North Pole

The harp seal

The Arctic fox

And in in the South Pole (Antarctica)

In winter, it is extremely cold (temperature drops to -50C) and it is always dark.

In summer, the temperature is cool (5C) and there is always day light.

TEMPERATE CLIMATE

In winter it is cold and days are shorter than nights.

In summer it is hot and nights are shorter than days.

It is the only climatic area where there are four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter.

TROPICAL CLIMATE

We find tropical climate between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.

The Equator and the Tropics are parallels. They are horizontal and they divide the Earth from East to West.
