What year of study will you be next year and what is your major?I am a rising junior with a double major in elementary education and communication with a concentration in digital media.

Why you chose Immaculata?I love the positive environment that Immaculata offers each student. I am in awe of the genuine love and kindness that is displayed on our campus.

Favorite IU MemorySnow on campus is truly magical—it makes IU look just like a holiday movie! I also have fond memories of running around campus during First Year Experience Seminar (FYS) scavenger hunts. Every freshman takes FYS; it helps you understand what you can accomplish as a college student.

Favorite campus hang-out and study spotThe library is such a great place to study and make friends! There are three floors—top and bottom levels are the quiet floors. We also have a beautiful Children’s Literature section.

What you’ll get out of NSONSO is a wonderful opportunity to jump into life at Immaculata. You will meet people who may become your forever friends. Most importantly, though, you will have the opportunity to grow as an individual as you take a step towards your future!

RYAN LEON, NSO Co-Chair

What year of study will you be next year and what is your major?I will be a sophomore majoring in music therapy.

Why you chose Immaculata?I heard about the great music therapy program at Immaculata and after meeting the faculty, I decided to come here.

Favorite IU MemoryI made lots of friends during the production of the play, Bright Star. I met people of various majors I wouldn’t have come across if I didn’t join. We all had a great experience and really bonded as a cast and crew.

Favorite campus hang-out and study spotMy favorite campus hang-out spots are the back campus rocking chairs and the terrace rotunda.Favorite study spot: Any table at the library

What you’ll get out of NSOMy NSO experience helped me gain new friendships, leadership skills, and confidence in public speaking. You just have to be open to immersing yourself to all that Immaculata has to offer.
