MEASUREMENT

Fischer Technology Inc.

Technic ATD announced the release of Technistan EP, a revo- lutionary high-speed matte pure tin electroplating process specifi- cally formulated to be a drop-in replacement electrolyte. Based on a patented mixed-acid system, the formulation is free of MSA and produces tin deposits that are highly whisker resistant. Technistan EP contains a high current density depolarizing agent that prevents burning at the edges of lead frame strips when “missing strip” occurs.

Finishing Equipment has devel- oped a new cleaning and strip- ping process to replace hot and cold cleaning processes. The Model MSM is a self-contained system that uses methylene chlo- ride to effectively clean and strip a variety of coatings. This new method provides improved work- ing conditions, often eliminating hazardous wastes while offering large savings in solvent, labor, and disposal costs. The process can remove resists used for mask- ing during plating and etching; removes many paints; and cleans spray masks, fixtures, racks, and hooks.
