Steps involved in Designing of Cleanroom
1. Survey of Building
2. Thermal load Calculation
3. Air distribution systems
4. Static Pressure Calculation
5. Selection of machine
6. Bill of quantities.

1. Survey of Building• The accurate survey of the load components of the space
to be Air Conditioned is a basic requirement for a realistic estimate of the cooling loads.
• The completeness and accuracy of this survey is very foundation of the estimate and its importance cannot be ignored.
• Mechanical and Architectural drawings, complete field sketches and in some cases photographs of important aspects are part of good survey.
• All physical aspects of the building must be considered.

2. Thermal load Calculation
1. Orientation
2. Indoor temperature.
3. Out door temperature
4. Different heights
5. Service duct/shaft/open to sky
6. Type of heat sources Indoor Outdoor
7. Q = AxTDxU & ISHRAE standards
8. ADP
9. CFM

4. Static Pressure CalculationThe major loss, or friction loss, in a circular duct in galvanized steel with turbulent flow can for imperial units be expressed
• Δp = (0.109136 q1.9) / de5.02 (1)
where
• Δp = friction (head or pressure loss) (inches water gauge/100 ft of duct)
• de = equivalent duct diameter (inches)
• q = air volume flow - (cfm - cubic feet per minute)
For rectangular ducts the equivalent diameter must be calculated.

5. Selection of machine & Bill of quantities
Selection of machine based on following factors
