From caterpillars to colorful flyers! Discover the many different butterflies and other insects living right in our backyards. Catch and release

with nets and jars and look up close with your magnifying glass. Let’s find out together what our insect friends are doing this summer!

Dinosaurs have been extinct for millions of years but at Dino Day Camp we bring them to life with crafts, games, and even a dino hunt. Meet

some animals that share traits with these historic beasts and do some dino digging.

Follow clues and solve puzzles like who made this hole in the ground, what chewed up this leaf, or where did these bits of fur come from?

Butterflies, goldfinches, deer, rabbits, turtles and snakes all have their secrets—discover them as you explore the woods, fields and ponds. Can

Discover the many reptiles and amphibians that make Claude Moore Park their home. Search for turtles, safely catch tadpoles and frogs, and pet a snake as we explore the world

Enjoy our fantastic forests like never before. Delve into the world of fairies and mythical creatures with crafts, games, exploration, and more. Make your own fairy wings and

explore the natural world around us. Create your own mythical creatures and compare them to our true forest friends.

WILD WATER CAMP 461120-01 -- 7/29-8/2

Everything needs water to live. Check the pond for insects, reptiles and birds. We’ll scoop some water to see what’s there. Look for signs of animals visiting the ponds, explore

some water science, and enjoy a day of water games and activities.

Explore the park up close and personal. Take part in exciting experiments to help understand the natural world around you. Find out what secrets science can uncover!

Discover the many secrets of our feathered friends! We'll watch how they fly, see what they eat, and find where they live. Make fun bird crafts, create your own unique bird, and

build a bird feeder.

ZOMBIE SURVIVAL CAMP

(Ages 9-13) Ever wonder if you could survive a world without electricity? Join us

in exploring different survival techniques such as shelter building, finding wood

and water, archery, swimming, fishing, and more! See if you can survive the

“dangerous” wilderness.

WETLAND ADVENTURES

(Ages 7-11) Enjoy a week overflowing with wet and wild fun. Trek through

Claude Moore Park visiting many of our hidden bodies of water. Search for

waterfowl, find frogs, and scoop for invertebrates. Put up trail cameras to see who

visits our ponds at night. Be one of the few to find our secret pools.

MAKING HISTORY

(Ages 11-14) Immerse yourself in colonial history in exciting ways.

Cook historic meals over an open fire, create colonial toys, practice

woodworking, try out blacksmithing, and more. Discover how

people lived in the 1700s and 1800s by reenacting life in the past.

ECO EINSTEINS

(Ages 7-11) Discover more about the natural world around us by trying out some

ARCHERY AND ADVENTURE

(Ages 9-13) Take part in outdoor adventures at Claude Moore Park. A certified

instructor will help you practice archery every day along with activities like,

COLONIAL LIFE AND GAMES

(Ages 7-11) Jump into the life of a colonial kid. Try out the skills needed to survive in

the 1700s and 1800s like fishing, woodworking, blacksmithing, cooking, and clothes

making. Explore our historic buildings and spend an afternoon in a one-room

schoolhouse. Hike through the park looking for plants that were used for food and

medicines.
