September 22-September 28, 2016 Classroom News Pre-Kindergarten: We continue to work on the letter M. We even did “Munching Math!” Mm-mm-mm! We are also learning about same and different by matching. We met our reading buddies this week, and we learned about another hero; Jesus’ Mother Mary. Magnificent! Kindergarten: Kindergarten met with their new fifth grade buddies this week! Grade One: This week we are reading a story about a storm. We are learning some weather words and weather facts. We are reviewing short “a” and learning about short “I”. We also have learned about nouns that name people, places, and things. In Math, we have been practicing numbers and number words. In Science we have been learning about what living things need. We have been talking about families in Social Studies. We always talk about God in all we do. We are trying to learn to live as Jesus wants us to. Grade Two: Happy Fall! Please make sure homework is checked by an adult before it is turned in. Envelopes for Mass have been given out to the children who registered for 1 st Communion at St. Teresa. When you attend Mass at another Church, attach the envelope to a bulletin and send it back to school on Monday. Grade Three: Some parents still have not signed up for our Class Messenger Group. You can search my name: “Miss Saraiva” or “Third Grade Rockstars” to find our class. Classroom News • Grade Four: We are super excited that

we met our Pre-K buddies! We read stories together.

• Grade Five: Grade 5 spent time with their Kindergarten buddies this week. Everyone enjoyed getting to talk with their buddy and drawing their “selfie”!

• Grade Six: Grade 6 has a service project scheduled for Wednesday, October 5 at 2:15pm. We will join the residents of the Pawtucket Center Nursing Home in reciting the Rosary. Permission slips need to be returned by September 23 to Mrs. Rocheleau.

• Grade Eight: The Scarecrow Auction is next weekend October 1 & 2, please continue to work on Scarecrows to raise money for our class trip!

• Music: St. Teresa School is invited to sing the National Anthem at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center on Sunday, October 23 at the Providence Bruins game. Please see attached flyer for more information.

Other News: • The front door of the school should be

drop off for Pre-K students only. • 400 Club payments are due. All clubs

must be kept up to date to be eligible to win. Tickets are still available; they make great gifts!

• All girls are now allowed to wear khaki pants that can be ordered from Donnelly’s. Pants must not be too tight and must be purchased from Donnelly’s.

• Lunch forms are due Monday 9/26.
