Meet Mrs. Francelia Chapa5-A

• My name is Francelia Chapa, and I am currently a fifth grade teacher at ColegioSan Patricio. I´ve been working for 17 years in this school. I graduated as Lic. en Educación Pedagógica. I have taught in 2nd. Grade, 4th. Grade, and English Conversation.

• I am married, and have twochildren. My husband supports mein my passion for education. Mydaughter is happily married andsuccessfully working. My son isworking very hard in his educationat college.

• Education is and always has been a veryimportant aspect of my life. I believethat teachers have an important job.We are shaping the lives of studentswhether it is passing on values andbeliefs or teaching them about what hashappened in the past. All students havethe capacity to learn and experience aproper education.

• As a teacher my goal is for mystudents to enjoy learningproviding them with an educationalenvironment that is encouragingand positive. I hope to provide theskills and tools necessary for successand find their individual talents.

• I enjoy spending time with my family, goingto the theater, movies, reading, listening tomusic and cooking. I like to watch TVshows ondecoration, gardening, fashion, and comedy.

• We all know that a better

education is the key to a

successful future. I look forward

to a great school year!

• Goal:My goal is to provide a safe environment for allstudents, to help students realize and appreciate life-long learning, and to accept responsibility.

• Mission:For students to enter sixth grade feeling inspired

toward higher learning – and a responsibility for their learning.

• Attendance:

If a student is absent he/she is expected to make up missed work. It is vitally important for students to attend school every day.

• Homework policy

• All students are expected to copy their homework everyday and turn it in daily.

• Math is daily including Friday.

• Leveled Reader book reports will be turned in every Friday, unless specified.
