Discipline is defined as the actions that facilitate the
development of self-control, responsibility, and
character.
Discipline is not about getting kids to do what
the teachers want them to do. That's what
dictators do, and the teachers are not
dictators, they are educators.
WHY IS THE DISCIPLINE
IMPORTANT?
Discipline is important because it helps to have a
positive atmosphere in the classroom and support
students’ learning.
Classroom Discipline
It is a part of a routine class session, and a system
to maintain desired behaviors.
It Is not classroom management .
Discipline is a major component
of education
If the teacher does not maintain the discipline in the
classroom, the teaching and learning process cannot be
accomplished.
As socialization agents, teachers have to teach their
students which behaviors are expected in which
situations.
How to Maintain a Classroom
