I put the insect grup into smaller grups with insects in them called:CrustaceaMyriapodaChelicerata UniramiaAfter that I put them into smaller grups again Called:Diptera fliesColeoptera beetles Dictyoptera Cockroaches and Praying Mantids Hymenoptera Wasps ants and bees Lepidoptera Butterflies and moths
Diptera: flies
Flies all have wings and can fly.
Different fly’s have different numbers of
wings and are different shapes and sizes
Fly’s have antena
Fly’s are different colours but usually black and brown
They have big eyes
Coleoptera: beetles
Beetles are round and can be big or small.
Beetles have antena
Some beetles have wings
Hymenoptera: Wasps ants and bees
Wasps and bees have stingers and wings
Ants are small and usually black
Ants steal your food
Wasps and bees are small and round
Ants have large abdomens
They both have antena
Dictyoptera: Cockroaches and Praying Mantids
Cocroaches and mantids are mostly camoflauge colours.
They both have antena and sometimes wings
Mantids have big eyes
Lepidoptera: Butterflies and moths
Moths and Butterflies have wings
Moths are usually camouflage colours
Butterflies can be lots of different bright colourful patterns.
Butterflies and moths are the same kind of shape
They both have antena
