During Field Trips at Wild Blue Ropes we work on:

• Coordinating left brain & right brain function by climbing suspended obstacles.

• Improving planning skills (executive function) while figuring out how to conquer a specific element / challenge.

• Learning you can be a little nervous, but to try something anyway (aka bravery).

• Accepting the possibility of not always succeeding on a first attempt, but having the willingness and grit to try again.

CONSIDER A NIGHT CLIMB ADVENTURE! Evening adventures climbing under the lights puts a unique spin on the usual field

trip.

WANT TO GET TOGETHER AROUND THE FIRE? Nothing completes your time on the ropes better than roasting s’mores & sharing

stories around the fire. Ask us about reserving the WBR fire pit for your group.

LET’S TALK ABOUT FOOD! Groups are more than welcome to bring their own food, snacks, and drinks to enjoy

around our picnic tables. Or just ask us about catering options for your class; there

are many great local restaurants we work with.

There are unlimited ways you can incorporate a trip to WILD BLUE ROPES ADVENTURE PARK into your lesson plans!

WILD BLUE ROPES aims to boost confidence, teamwork, leadership skills, and cooperation during our class trip programs. The course tests students’ ability to overcome both physical and emotional obstacles. Our facilitators take time to offer lessons throughout activities on the ground & in the air.

It’s also worthwhile to take time back at school to reflect upon the Wild Blue experience. Ask students how they felt during various activities, what their greatest challenges were, what strategies they used to accomplish goals, and how these skills might be applied in real life situations.
