Termination: Is the end of the world even feasible?Scripture from the Old and New Testaments

inform us that the end of the world is wholly and entirely an act of God:

Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look at the earth beneath; for the heavens vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment, and they who dwell in it will die in like manner; but my salvation will be forever, and my righteousness will never be dismayed. Isaiah 51:6

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. Matthew 24:35

Termination: Is the end of the world even feasible? This contradicts our popular culture which

suggests that the end of the world is something possible for humans. This certainly has become a more palpable reality in light of Auschwitz, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki.

Do you believe the end is humanly possible, or is it a final act reserved for God alone?
