Yamba Tours Tr Package Inerary Our Clarence Valley Escape Tour is to be enjoyed by first time and returning guests alike. Local speakers will provide an informative, fun and entertaining week. Sunday Arrival Day You will be met by your Tour Directors. Settle into your accommodation at the Aston Motel then later dine at the Norfolk Bistro at the Yamba Bowling Club. Monday Yamba Depart 8:45 am for a tour of Yamba’s beaches and town. Morning tea at Yamba’s Museum. Escape to Angourie’s famous Blue & Green Pools, Silk & Sand via Back Beach Lookout in the Yuraygir National Park. Lunch in Yamba (at your expense) The afternoon is yours to spend roaming the beaches, take a stroll along the river break wall and browse the fabulous shops in town. Tuesday Summerland House Farm & Evans Head Depart 8:00 am for Evans Head. The Air Museum is our first stop. Morning tea is at the Lookout overlooking Evans Head. Lunch at The House With No Steps. It was started in 1962 by Lionel Watts, a paraplegic with a vision. This is a farm with a difference and will be a humbling and heartwarming experience. On arrival we take a guided tour of the museum and farm followed by lunch in the gardens. Enjoy a brief walk through the rainforest at the Victoria Park Nature Reserve keeping an eye out for the elusive Pademelon. Time permitting we will stop at New Italy for afternoon tea (at your expense) arriving back around 3:30pm Wednesday Grafton & Olive Farm Depart at 8:15am with an overview of Yamba. Morning tea at Lanbruk’s Gunyah Olive Farm on the rolling fields of Carrs Peninsula via Grafton. Here we enjoy homegrown olives, a unique farm tour and listen to the unique talent of a local Bush Poet. We then take a tour of Grafton, visit the Grafton Regional Gallery & Museum as well as the wonderful parks in town. Lunch by the mighty Clarence River. On the way back we will stop at Ulmarra, on the Clarence River. Ulmarra is a haven for lovers of arts and crafts and antiques. Arrive back at Yamba about 3:30pm Thursday Maclean Depart 8:30am an overview of Yamba before heading to the Scottish town of Maclean and out to Woodford Island and surrounds. Morning tea at Maclean Lookout. Then down into Maclean for you to explore. We then head to Yamba Marina where a delicious lunch will be served whilst taking in the glorious views over the boat harbor. The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy. Friday Departure Day Time to say good-bye to new friends and head home. NSW guests travelling by train will be picked up by the Countrylink Coach at 8am. Queenslanders will be transported to their departure point at the required time.

Our popular standard tour, the Clarence Valley Explorer is our

original tour and as the name indicates - takes you on a relaxing,

varied trip throughout the Clarence Valley exploring the region.

SundayArrival DayYou will be met in the afternoon or evening at your chosen arrival point. Settle into your accommodation before dinner at the Yamba Bowling Club.

MondayYamba, Iluka & Ostrich Farm Depart 8:45 am to view Yamba’s beaches and township before boarding the ferry to Iluka. This pleasant cruise past the Marina and prawning fleet is scenic & informative. Our coach will meet the ferry then tour the Iluka area. We visit the Clarence River Fisherman’s Co-op, enjoy home-made morning tea by the river, followed by a walk in the world heritage rainforest. Our drive to the Ostrich farm takes us through the sugar cane fields on historic Chatsworth Island. After an entertaining talk, a BBQ lunch with fresh salads and fruits will be served by the dam. We return to Yamba via Harwood Island at around 3pm.

TuesdayBallina & SurroundsDepart at 8.30am for Ballina. The Naval Museum is our first stop, with morning tea by the Richmond River. We explore Ballina Island then take a guided tour of the Thursday Plantation and the tea tree oil education centre. Our lunch break today (at your own expense) is at the Ballina RSL Club overlooking the river. We then travel south to beautiful Evans Head, a beachside holiday destination on the mouth of the Evans River, with some spectacular scenery. We make a stop on our way home at the New Italy Museum, before returning to Yamba, arriving around 3.30pm.

WednesdayGrafton & Harwood Island CruiseDepart at 8:30am for the Scottish town of Maclean. We then take the scenic route through the sugar cane farms on Woodford Island to the historic town of Ulmarra. Onto Grafton “The Jacaranda City”, taking in the sights and landmarks before morning tea is served in the park. Enjoy some free time to do a little souvenir shopping before we travel north to Harwood Island for a light lunch of sandwiches served at the Harwood Hotel. Total relaxation follows, with a peaceful two hour cruise meander-ing along the winding banks of the Clarence River aboard the MV Mirgini, arriving back in Yamba around 3.15pm.

ThursdayAngourie & Brooms HeadDepart 8:45am for Angourie. Discover the fresh water ‘blue pools’ carved out of solid rock and the backdrop of the Yuraygir National Park, boasting one of the world’s best surf breaks. We visit nearby Lake Wooloweyah, a major fish and prawn breeding ground on the coast. On to Silk & Sand where some of the locals will share some interesting facts. Enjoy a tranquil morning tea at the pelican perch by the river. We move onto Ferry Park & the arts and craft centre, then to beautiful Brooms Head. This scenic spot is surrounded by national park and the cleanest water on the coast. A lunch of king prawns and treats will be served at the beach before returning to Yamba arriving around 2.30pm.
