Shaping the future

Atkins understands the challenges facing public architecture. Although todays economy brings the new reality of reduced taxes and budget limitations, infrastructure needs continue. Transportation systems, water systems, and facilities all must be revitalized. To meet civic needs economically and efficiently, projects must be implemented through streamlined operations and the effective management of limited capital and general revenue funds.

As we continue to reinvest in our communities, we are ever mindful of the importance of the public involvement process to obtain neighborhood input on priorities. We strive to design quality communities that meet resident expectations as well as client concerns for practical budgets and schedules.

Atkins has developed an array of civic facilities such as city halls, town centers, police stations, fire stations, justice centers, post offices, libraries, recreation and community centers, training centers, administrative office complexes, and conventions centers.
