MissionTo provide life-enhancingexperiences and promote

a healthy community. To bring our culture to life and

transfer it to the next generation.

2012 Fall Mayor’s Letter Building Community “Together”

One of the things that makes Shoreline such a great place to live is the sense of community we share. People come together in places like parks, libraries and neighborhood associations to play, learn and create friendships and as a result of that time spent together community is born.

Over the last several months “community building” has continued with new opportunities such as the Farmers Market, Community Garden, and Million Stair Challenge. All have been successful and all have resulted in Shoreline residents coming together to know and support each other. My hope is that each year we will continue to provide new community building opportunities in addition to the events, gatherings, festivals, concerts, etc. that already make Shoreline a great place to live.

On behalf of the Council, we are honored to have the opportunity to work with dedicated staff, engaged residents, and community partners who understand the value of Building Community “Together.”
