• All playgrounds, basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts are opened. Drinking fountains are all open for use now.

• The parking regulation sign for Pyburn Park has been installed.

• A pilot trash can was installed at Duncanville Rd. & Camp Wisdom and at Danieldale Rd. & Hwy 67 Service Road on the west side.

• Timothy Hamilton and Keep Duncanville Beautiful (KDB) successfully submitted the Governor’s Community Achievement Award (GCAA) application. We are proud to announce that we are the Category 6 winner of the Governor's Community Achievement Award! We will be receiving $210,000 for a landscaping project.

• Closed March 13, 2020 – Present• Staff preparing an opening plan

• Meals Served through DAAA/VNA Services• Drive-through service daily• Weekend shelf-stable meals provided on Fridays• 7,167 (decrease of 29% over last quarter)

uncanvilleCOVID-19 Senior Center Activities• Since the closing of the Senior Center on March 13, 2020, staff have

coordinated drive-through meal service for the senior citizens with the assistance of the Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) and Dallas Area Agency on Aging (DAAA)• Average approximately 90 meals per day• Staff delivers about 15 meals a day to seniors who relied on the City’s bus to

transport them to the center prior to COVID-19• Staff provides mental games and activities for the seniors to take home to keep

their minds active and entertained• Working with the Share and Care Site Council, staff makes weekly contact with all

the members to make sure everyone is safe and inquire of any needs

• Armstrong Park• Awarded Texas Parks & Wildlife Local Non-Urban Grant - $749,805!• Plans are 100% complete• Construction Fall 2021 due to grant agreement and July 3rd event

• Harrington Park• Plans are 95% complete• Received verbal approval from TRA to cross easement with bridge• Construction in Winter 2021 to allow for spring youth sports leagues

• Service Center Renovation• Plans are 100% complete• Bids expected in May 2021• Construction in Fall 2021
