Marmox Board is the perfect solution for insulating and waterproofing in one operation.

It is ideal to use as insulation coverings for most internal construction tasks and can be fixed

to any suitable framework, whether brick, wood or metal. To Marmox-proof a room is very

easy for a person to single handed as the boards are lightweight and very easy to cut with

a saw or knife. Marmox has been tested to hold a tile weight of 62kg/m2, double that of

plasterboard and stronger than many other tile backer boards.

Marmox boards are made of extruded polystyrene and are fully waterproof, not allowing any

water to pass through them in the way expanded polystyrene boards do. Each face of the

board is covered with a close woven fibreglass mesh embedded in a cement polymer mortar.

There is a range of fixings and tapes available to help with constructing the wetrooms you want. ‘Self Adhesive Waterproof Tape’ is re-

comended for sealing all the joints in the wetest areas of the room and ‘Acrylic Sealant’ should also be used between joints in the wet

areas. Marmox Boards can be fixed using a cement based tile adhesive or by using screws and washers (approximately 9 per 1250h x

600w board when applying to walls and 12 when applying the same board to the floor.

Designed for shower and wet room applications, the Showerlay is pre-formed to create an effective water slope to the drain. It is a

floor level panel that can be easily cut to fit the shower area or to produce an irregular or circular shower base. As with all Marmox

products the Showerlay is ready to receive a tiled finish.

Made with a waterproof extruded polystyrene core and a double reinforced surface that is compatible with most tile adhesives. A thin

stainless steel sheet has been built in to reinforce the waste outlet hole. The Showerlay is sufficiently robust to be surfaced with

mosaic tiles as little as 50mm without the risk of compression through point loading.

The Showerlay is compatible with the ‘Marmox Dallmer - Tile Drain’.

It is advised to use ‘Self Adhesive Waterproof Tape’ and ‘Acrylic Sealant’ around the tray and along any joints in the wet areas.

The Showerstone is a solid shower base that can be laid directly onto floor joists with minimal support needed. Made from a

polymer (acrylic) modified concrete, the Showerstone is very strong allowing for the smallest of mosaic tiles without the risk of

compression through point loading. The size can be increased by adding a separate extension piece and it is possible to cut the
