For years the LGU have implemented a system that does not really make it

easy for us, now its time tell them what we feel about it and make

suggestions to make it easy.

Key Issue Addressed by the Project

Business Permits and Licensing System ( BPLS ) is tedious, time consuming and not client friendly.

Objectives

• Increase the ease of doing business in the city so that business people will be able to comply with the BPLS requirements .

• Simplify the Business Permit & Licensing System ( BPLS ) processes through Citizen Engagement

We believe that a customer centric BPLS can be developed by asking what you feel and what

you think about it.

Your feedback will be incorporated in improving the BPLS to make it responsive to your needs

and preferences.

This is what makes it different. You play a big role in this project.

Project Activities and its corresponding tools to engage the citizens

• Information Campaign – will be conducted prior to the Licensing Period to inform the public on the requirements and procedures related to the application of business permit .

Citizen Engagement Tool to be used

– Public Display of Information through social media using downloadable info graphics and physical campaign materials displayed in strategic places around the city.

Citizen Engagement Tool to be used

• - Client Satisfaction Survey using actual interviews, survey forms or online surveys.

• Capture Client Feedback – will be conducted during the Business Licensing Period , to gather from a broad number of clients their experience of the process and their suggestions

• Presentation of Feedback –survey results will be presented to the various stakeholders including the process owners and discuss ways of improving it.

• Creation of Technical Working Group -This shall be created composed of private sector representatives and the process owners to formulate plans and programs to improve the Business Permits and Licensing System ( BPLS ).–
