Expansion of E-Court System Throughout Malaysia | Briefing Sessions in Ayer Keroh

and Kuantan

The Bar Council was informed on 7 Dec 2016 that the expansion of the e-Court/e-Kehakiman

system (Phase 2) to all courts throughout Malaysia will commence in Malacca on 22 Dec

2016 (Thursday), and in Kuantan on 16 Jan 2017 (Monday).

Implementation Schedule

Phase 2 of the e-Court system will be gradually implemented throughout Peninsular

Malaysia, as follows:

1st Release (Dec 2016) 2

nd Release (May 2017) 3

rd Release (July 2017)

New Features and Capabilities

Phase 2 of the e-Court system will introduce a wider range of functionalities as seen below:

Number of sites 8 sites 20 sites

Briefing sessions will be held to assist Members to understand the e-filing process of the

system, as follows:

(1) Ayer Keroh: 19 to 23 Dec 2016 (Monday to Friday); and

(2) Kuantan: 9 to 13 Jan 2017 (Monday to Friday).

Please note that only a limited number of service bureau counters will still be in operation.

Law firms are encouraged to register for an e-filing account to avoid long queues at the

service bureau counters.

A brochure containing information regarding e-Court Phase 2 and registration for an e-filing

account is attached for your reference.

We will continue to notify Members as and when there are updates on e-Court Phase 2.
