Online Training | Data & Compliance Report (DCR) 2020 Clinic for Lawyers by Bank

Negara Malaysia

We refer to Circular No 170/2020 dated 29 May 2020 and Circular No 222/2020 dated 10

July 2020, both entitled “Issuance of Data Compliance Report 2020 by Bank Negara

Malaysia”.

We have been informed that Bank Negara Malaysia (“BNM”) is conducting series of DCR

Clinics that will provide participants with a step-by-step guide to complete the Data and

Compliance Report (“DCR”). The DCR Clinics are mainly conducted in English, however,

there are sessions in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.

The DCR is a set of questionnaire that is designed to allow reportinginstitutions to self-assess their risks and vulnerabilities towards money

laundering and terrorism financing as well as identifying areas and gaps forimprovements needed to meet the AML / CFT requirements through a

generated report card. The information will be used for AML/CFTmonitoring and compliance improvement.
