In Latin America

Begun in 1983, César Castellanos’s cell church in Bogotá, Colombia has grown to more than 20,000 cells and 100,000 members.

In San Salvador, Sergio Solórzano’s Elim church claims 116,000 people regularly attending 5,300 cell groups. Each Sunday morning, the church rents 600 city buses to transport cell members to the weekly celebration services.

In CubaBetween 1990 and 2000, Cuban Baptists grew from 235 to more than 4,000 churches.

By 2010 Evangelicals across Cuba are on track to see 100,000 churches with 1 million baptized believers.

Church leaders estimate that 70% of the country's 13 million residents have received a Jesus Film, New Testament, or personal witness to Jesus Christ.

A movement in North Africa grows from 22,000 baptized believers in 2003 to more than 160,000 in 2009.

More Iranians have come to Christ since 1979 than in the thousand years that preceded it.

A movement in South Asia was assessed in 2002 with more than 125,000 baptized Muslim-background believers.
