Let’s Look at What God is Doing!


In Latin America

Begun in 1983, César Castellanos’s cell church in Bogotá, Colombia has grown to more than 20,000 cells and 100,000 members.

In San Salvador, Sergio Solórzano’s Elim church claims 116,000 people regularly attending 5,300 cell groups. Each Sunday morning, the church rents 600 city buses to transport cell members to the weekly celebration services.

Look what God is doing!


In CubaBetween 1990 and 2000, Cuban Baptists grew from 235 to more than 4,000 churches.

By 2010 Evangelicals across Cuba are on track to see 100,000 churches with 1 million baptized believers.

Church leaders estimate that 70% of the country's 13 million residents have received a Jesus Film, New Testament, or personal witness to Jesus Christ.



In AfricaAcross the continent of Africa,

Christianity has exploded from less than 9 million in 1900 to more than 470 million in 2010.

In the Muslim World

A movement in North Africa grows from 22,000 baptized believers in 2003 to more than 160,000 in 2009.

More Iranians have come to Christ since 1979 than in the thousand years that preceded it.

A movement in South Asia was assessed in 2002 with more than 125,000 baptized Muslim-background believers.

In IndiaA Madhya Pradesh Church Planting Movement produces 4,000 new churches in less than seven years.

A Church Planting Movement among Bhojpuri peoples yields more than 11,000 new churches and nearly 1,000,000 new believers in less than ten years.


In ChinaIn China, more than 30,000 new believers are baptized every day.

In Henan Province Christianity explodes from less than a million to more than five million believers in only eight years.




In China (continued)A southern China Church Planting Movement produces more than 90,000 baptized believers in 920 house churches in eight years time.

A Church Planting Movement in a northern Chinese province sees 20,000 new believers and 500 new churches planted in less than five years.

In 2004, one church planting movement in China produced an average of 1,700 new churches—each month!

In August 2005, this movement saw 2,400 new churches started – in one month!


In the T4T MovementA recent movement started in China in 2001, has produced the fastest growing Church Planting Movement in the world to date. They have already seen nearly two million baptisms and more than 80,000 new church starts in less than a decade.



In AmericaIn 17 years, one Baptist church in North Carolina became the mother, grandmother and great grandmother to 42 churches from which sprang 125 ministers. That was only one of scores of Church Planting Movements that swept across North America.

But that was nearly 200 years ago….
