MATRIMONY: Since Catholic marriage requires a me of prepara on, arrangements should begin at least six months before the proposed date of the wedding. Call the Rectory for further informa on.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK: If someone is homebound or in the hospital, please no fy one of the priests.

BAPTISM PROCEDURE: Baptisms are held on the first and third Sunday of every month at 1:30 pm. This is the preferred time for Baptisms. Parents requesting a private Baptism must write to the pastor. Private baptisms usually occur in church; however if a funeral comes in, the Baptism may be transferred to Resurrection Chapel. Both parents are required to attend the Baptismal Class. a) Initial registration meeting with priest-on-duty in Rectory, weekdays,

9:00—5:00 or at 7:00 pm. (No appointment necessary). b) Information class with Sister Danielle on last Monday of the

month for one hour 7:30—8:30 pm prompt in lower Church Hall. Next classes will be November 25th, December 30th , January 27th, February 24th

and March 30th. (Please do not ask for a waiver from class).

MUSIC MINISTRY IS LOOKING FOR CHRISTMAS SINGERS

The adult choir is looking for anyone who may be interested in singing with us for 10:00 pm Mass on Christmas Eve! Have you ever wondered what it may be like to sing with the choir? Now is the perfect time to join us and sing all your favorite Christmas music! If you are interested in singing with us please join us for rehearsals on Thursday, November 21st, Thursday, December 5th, Wednesday, December 11th and Thursday, December 19th. TWO YEAR OLD PROGRAM OPEN HOUSE FOR 2020-2021

The Resurrection Two Year Old Program will hold its Open House/Registration on Thursday, December 5, 2019 between 9 and 11 AM. We offer 3 day a week classes on Monday/Wednesday/Friday and 2 day a week classes on Tuesday/Thursday. Morning classes are 9-11:15 am with an option for early drop off at 8:30am. LESSONS AND CAROLS

The Adult and Children’s Choir will be hosting our 3rd Annual Lessons and Carols service Sunday, December 15th at

4 pm – 4:45 pm in Resurrection Church. Please join us for Scripture, Christmas

Carols, and holiday goodies. If you aren’t in the Christmas Spirit yet, this event will surely prepare you to enter the Christmas Season.

CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING

Please join us for the Annual lighting of

the Resurrection Christmas Trees on Saturday December 7th, following the 5:00 pm Mass. There will be a Christmas sing-along, as well as a special visitor from the North Pole.

NEW ALTAR SERVERS A new class for Altar Servers at Resurrection is about to begin. Any boy or girl

in 5th grade through 7th grade is welcome to become an Altar Server. It is fun and easy! It is an important job to assist the priest at Mass.

If interested in becoming an Altar Server in our Parish please call the Rectory (914) 967-0142 Monday – Friday between 9:30 am and 4 pm.

CHRISTMAS GIVING TREE The Christmas Giving Tree is

located at St. Joseph’s Altar of the church and is beautifully

decorated with hand-made ornaments. Please

take an ornament (or two) and return a Christmas gift for a needy boy or girl. Gifts should be unwrapped

with the ornament securely taped to the package.

Respect Life gifts of diapers, baby presents and blankets are also needed.

This year we are also accepting donations of gift cards for teens to Kohls or Target. Leave in a gift bag and drop off at the Rectory. Gifts can be placed under the tree now until December 23rd.

50th & 25th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Our parish will be Hosting a Mass on

Sunday, December 8th at 11:15 am for couples who celebrated their 50th and 25th Wedding Anniversaries in 2019.

There will be a short reception (champagne, coffee, cake, hor d’oeuvre’s etc.) after Mass from 12 noon to 1:15 pm in the Lower Church Hall. Any couple celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary (1969) or 25th Wedding Anniversary (1994) in 2019 is most welcome. There will be a renewal of vows and a special Blessing during Mass. All honorees, parishioners & Guests are invited to the Reception, In the Lower Church Hall. Many thanks to Mary and Tom Julian, Chairpersons, Hospitality Committee. Jubilarians couples are asked to register at 967-0142 by December 3rd.

RYE MISTLETOE MAGIC
