PRAYER AND PRAISE
Please pray that the Kindergarten operating in our
facility would truly be a light to the community,
and would be used by God to draw many people
into His Kingdom.
Please pray that the Lord would heal Sharilyn
Mordaunt's dad (Harry) from his cancer, and for
the Mordaunt family as they are apart until lateMarch
Please pray for the leadership and ministry teams
in our church as they seek to help people, young
and old, move from brokenness to wholeness in
Christ through prayer, Sunday School, choir,
dance, and worship.
Please pray for all of the new, and new-ish parents
in our church family as they navigate the many
challenges that a baby brings.
Praise God for the many Dominican youth thatgathered in the eastern district for a Missions
Festival. Countries from the least-reached areas of
the world were featured. Pray that the Lord will
send out Dominican international workers to be
light and to push back the darkness.
Are you new to this facility? We know that it can take a lot of energy to attend a
new church, so please note that:
The Childrens Ministry begins part way through
the service. This is for children between the
ages of 3 13 years.
Information on who we are, as well as on all of
our ministries are available online at
www.whac.net.nz
Each week, we share a cuppa together after the
service, and would love for you to stay for a
chat.

NEWSThe Tonga Ministry Experience
Once again, the Alliance Churches of New Zealand areplanning a mid-winter ministry trip to the Kingdom of Tonga thisJuly primarily to work with local churches and Christianministries on the main island of Tongatapu. These trips havebeen both an incredible blessing and challenge in years past, and an initial information meeting will be held on February 17th
at Blockhouse Bay Community Church (76 Dundale Ave) from7:00. All are welcome to attend.
The Engine Room
This year, the Lord has been stirring the hearts of a number ofpeople at WHAC around prayer, and as a result, focus, andexcitement, and anticipation are all developing. A prayer teamis also being formed, while our prayer nights have been movedto Wednesday nights at 7:30. For more information, please seePhil Ruston.
Decisions decisions
In a world filled with change and opportunity, choices areunavoidable. Some decisions are easy... fries or salad? TV1 orTV3? Others are not... fries or salad (okay, it's harder for somepeople than others!)? Where should I go to school? Howshould I react to that stress in my life? Through the month ofFebruary, we will be looking some Biblical principles to help usmake good choices.
Sunday, 3rd of March
As the Elders Board seeks to lead us further intofellowship and community, for one special Sunday, wewill be moving from rows to circles and tables in aservice that features worship, discussion and teaching. The topic to be addressed that weekend has yet to be
decided, and suggestions are welcome.A Financial Update
Thanks for your generosity in giving, this last term saw usgive to the Lord 98% of our budgeted giving to the Lord.Praise the Lord and good for you! This small shortfall, combined with our deficit budget means that we had to dipinto our savings for $5,091 so far this financial year, but weare confident that as we continue to worship the Lord in ourgiving, and follow His plan for our lives and our church, Hewill supply all of our needs.
You're Invited!
After church on the 3rd of March, some families fromWHAC will be going up to Browns Bay to spend theafternoon at the beach, and YOU are more thanwelcome to come along. Meet by the playground at2:30, and be sure to bring some nibbles, cricket bats...and sun block!
Psalm 11
Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with mockers.2
But they delight in the law of the LORD,
meditating on it day and night.3
They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
bearing fruit each season.
Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.
