This morning we welcome Alyona Eakes (guest mission speaker) she will tell about her experience of receiving an Operation Christmas Child Shoebox from Samaritan’s Purse when she was a child living in a Ukrainian Christian orphanage. Operation Christmas Child is an important mission outreach of our congregation, and First Presbyterian Church is the collection location for other churches and organizations in the city of Eden.
Christmas Cantata Choir Cookout – Saturday, Sept. 28 at 6:00pm Lisa and Peter Smith invite anyone interested in singing with our Christmas Cantata Choir to
their house for a cookout hamburgers and hot dogs), followed by a fun time of listening to this year’s Christmas Cantata. Speak to Lisa Smith about the cookout and singing with our
Cantanta Choir. This is a great opportunity to be part of leading Christmas worship without having to make a long-term commitment. Our Christmas Music Sunday will be December 15.
FALL FEST 2019

Our Reverse Giveaway was a great success!! Now it is time to concentrate on our
Fall Festival in hopes we can do as well…… and we can with your help!!
NEW THIS YEAR, folks will have the ability to use their charge or debit cards at
Fall Fest for everything but the Yard Sale.
FLYERS with all the information about this year’s Fall Fest are on the tables in the
Worship Center and Gathering Area. Please take a handful and place them
wherever you can so that we can get the word out to the community.
RAFFLES - We have 4 great raffles, plus Red Ticket, and books of tickets to sell are
available in the Gathering Area this morning. They will sell easily and we are going
to have a prize for our top ticket salesperson. (Prize to be announced later)
SIGN UP – The sign ups that were in the bulletin are now on the tables, so please fill
out one today and let us know how you are planning to help. To be successful,
everyone must help!
DONATIONS – Ways to donate are: 1. Monetary gifts are appreciated if you cannot
help in other ways. 2. Items for the Silent Auction, Red Ticket Raffle, Door Prizes
and Yard Sale 3. Items for Gift Baskets (Please sign up) 4. Baked goods, candies,
biscuits as a breakfast item, etc. Coffee will be free again this year. 5. Lottery
scratch-off tickets for our Collection Frame. Give to Suzon Martin
LUNCH - Barbecue and Hot Dog Plates with all the trimmings will be on our lunch
menu. Tickets will be available soon.
BRUNSWICK STEW – Will be available by the quart. Look for a sign up soon.
