The Catholic Church of the Incarnation Mass Guidelines • Mass Schedule: (Saturday) 5pm (Vigil Mass) (Sunday) 8 am, 10:30 am, 12:15pm (Main Church) 2 pm Spanish Mass will be also held in the Main Church • Upon arrival for Sunday Mass please use ONLY East and West entrances to enter the church (large wooden doors). • Each Mass has a maximum capacity of 75%. In order to enforce this we will need to have ushers and the Society of Saint Michael stationed in the Narthex monitoring how many can come in. If you are uncomfortable with the fuller Masses, please consider attending the 8am or 12:15 Masses that have lower attendences. • In order to maintain 6 feet of social distancing between people, we have blocked every other pew. Family members residing in the same household may sit together. • It is mandated that parishioners wear face masks at all times during Mass. The priest and deacon will put one on before distributing Holy Communion (after consuming the Eucharist). • We will withhold any physical exchange of peace during Mass until further notice. • We will withhold cups for Holy Communion until further notice. • It is preferable to receive communion only in the hand until further notice. • Each pew, door handles and bathrooms will be cleaned between each Mass. • It is very important that you follow instructions given by ushers, greeters and members of the Society of Saint Michael. • If you are sick or susceptible please stay home. • All non-liturgical gatherings on campus outside of Masses are prohibited until further notice. THIS INCLUDES both playgrounds, swings, basketball hoop and baseball fields. • Confessions will be Saturdays from 3:30 pm-4:30 pm, and Sunday 9:30 am-10:00 am in the Confes-sional Rooms. • Daily Masses is at 8:15 am in Saint Therese Chapel. • Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament has resumed by reservation only. (only two people or a family per hour allowed until further notice). Sign up with the Sign-up genius to attend Adoration. See bulletin to get more information. • The Parish Office is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. • Outside of Sunday, Daily Masses, and select religious activities, the Church will remain closed until further notice. • Incarnation will not be having any socials that include food at this time, as the health authori-
ties presently discourage this practice. We ask that you continue to be patient with us as we all adapt to keep everyone safe while offering Masses to celebrate as a community. Thank you!

Second Sunday of Easter -- April 11, 2021 – Divine Mercy Sunday
Jesus told His Disciples, “I came to serve, not to be served.” A vocation is a call to serve. It is a profession, an urge, a predisposition to undertake a certain kind of work. It is a choice for which you are particularly suited. The central question always is, “How best can I serve my God and oth-ers?” If you feel a calling to the married life, there are many Church ministries from which to choose. Many are in need of your service, as a deacon, a Eucharistic minister, a visitor to the sick and aged, or an usher. Whatever you choose, do something that serves others. When you do this, you are serving God. If you feel a calling to priesthood or religious life, ask questions and talk to priests or religious. They know that sur-viving isn’t enough. They can help you come to know your vocation or career, or even your own true self. Above all, start with prayer. Whatever your vocation, if you are good at what you do, it is a gift from God. Only through prayer will you be able to recognize what vocation gift He wants to give to you. Serra for priestly and religious vocations “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent Me, so I send you.” If you are considering being a priest, sister or broth-er who proclaims the truth and peace of Jesus Christ: Write to our Diocesan Vocations Director Rev. Robert Szczechura at [email protected].

PARISH SOCIAL MINISTRY NEWS
BEREAVEMENT MINISTRY A re you prepared if you or a loved one dies? Church of the Incarnation’s Bereavement Team is here to help if the answer is “No!” The Bereavement Team can help in 2 ways: 1. We can help you to pre-plan your funeral to take that pressure off of your family; or 2. We can help you plan your loved one’s funeral once they have passed. When a loved one dies, we often do not know where to turn. Here at In-carnation, your 1st step is to contact the Social Minis-try Office at 853-8574 to inform us of the death, and we will walk with you through the rest of the prepara-tions. We will contact the priest of your choice, then help you to plan the mass with your personal choices.
The next issue is whether you are going to be buried or cremated. The Catholic Church does allow for cre-mations. If you choose cremation, you need to know that you DO NOT need to go through a funeral home! You can call a company called Smart Cremations and make all the arrangements with them. By doing this, you will save a tremendous amount of money. If you choose to be cremated through Smart Cremations, your cost, including a Columbarium spot here at In-carnation is approximately $3,000.
Due to current COVID restrictions we are unable to offer visitations or receptions. We believe this to be a temporary issue. If you have any other questions, or want to pre-plan a funeral, please call Social Ministry and our team will be happy to assist you. 901-853-8574.

CAN CATHOLICS BE CREMATED? In 1963 the Vatican lifted the ban on cremation. It is now an acceptable practice for Catholics. In 1997, the Vatican ap-proved new liturgical norms allowing for the cremated re-mains to be present at a funeral Mass and the remains are to be treated with the same reverence as a whole body in a casket. Spreading the cremated ashes is still forbidden.
