    Today, we may be in a new century but Chubbis still the premier name in security nowoffering high security products for both thehome and commercial use.     We have made every effort to ensure that attime of going to print all information shownin this catalogue is correct.     The National House Building Council offersgeneral guidance on security for dwellings,flats and maisonettes.

    Products endorsed with the UL mark havepassed strict testing procedures under thecontrol of the Underwriters LaboratoriesIncorporated.

    The Association of British Insurers providesminimum security recommendations forexternal doors and windows.

    The application of the CE mark is currentlyrestricted to products covered by the lowvoltage and EMC Directives.

    The ANSI reference can be claimed when aproduct conforms to the relevant AmericanStandards Institute Specification.

    The Loss Prevention Certification Boardprovides approval and certificationmarking on a range of security fittings.

    The Master Locksmiths Association providesguidelines covering minimum securitylevels for domestic properties.

    Products that meet MOBH3PS have beentested to the performance specificationsissued by the Property Services Agency.

    Standards & Approvals

    Chubb recognises that in addition to its own high quality standardsthe approval of its products by independent organisations is neededto meet the requirements of many regulations in todays market.

    In order to help simplify all of these standards we have provided ineach section of the catalogue a reference page showing each of thestandards. Additionally we have where applicable noted against eachproduct which standards apply to that product.

    Shown below are the independent standards organisation with a briefdescription to the meaning and reference of each.

    These pan-European standards classifyproducts into grades based on a seriesof exacting tests.

    Products endorsed with the Kitemarkhave passed a strict testing procedureunder the control of the BritishStandards Institution.

    A BS reference can be claimed when aproduct conforms to the relevantBritish Standard.

    Chubb is accredited with andmeets the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001: 1994.

    Chubb have developed a series of icons to enable theprocess of product specification to be simplified. Webelieve that these icons represent the most importantfeatures when looking to specify architectural hardwareor security products.

    Throughout this whole catalogue constant referencewill be made to each of these icons. Each icon representsa feature that, irrespective of what type of product itrelates to, can be used to identify any relevant securityfeatures.

    This page of the catalogue showsa photo gallery of the productrange, which can be cross-referenced, to the specificationtable shown on the page below.

    The left hand side of thespecification table provides all theessential information relating tohow the icons apply to eachindividual product.

    The right hand side of thespecification table provides allthe essential informationrelating to the features,functions and finishes availablein each individual product.

    3The greater part of eachcatalogue section is devotedto providing more detailedinformation about eachindividual product. Eachproduct is represented bothwith a photograph anddimensional drawing togetherwith some key features andspecification table.

    The upper section of thespecification table providesinformation relating to the seriesof security icons.

    The lower section of thespecification table providesinformation relating to productfeatures and functions togetherwith finish options.

    There are various types of key control systems from simple key alike systems tocomplicated grand master key suites.

    This refers to a number of lockseach operated by the same key.This is also referred to as alikechange, locks to pass or keyed topass;
